We Are Back

Did you miss your trading fix? We know we did. It took a little longer than expected to get our trading account switched over to the new broker. Everything was finalized Tuesday. We were able to do our first live trade through the new broker yesterday - Thursday. We made .75 points. Nice!

Today, we are not trading live because we are in a hotel and we do not trust the Internet connection. We are still paper trading though to for practice.

We have 3 trading days next week and we will be back to reporting our stats regularly. Have a wonderful weekend. Until next week...

Later Announcements Today

Since this is a holiday week, the announcements are light. We had two lower impact announcements during the late morning. We traded both announcements with the paper account making a total of 1.25 points. It would have been awesome if this was the live account. On the other hand, we attempted a more aggressive strategy and we can't say for certain we would have traded it the same with a live account.

Tomorrow, there is one one announcement bright and early. We will be using our live account for this one. Think good thoughts and we will report back tomorrow.

Did you see the market today?

This was an amazing day for MMT students. With two announcements, the market moved like crazy. There was a lot of profit to be taken. I have heard profits from 2.25 points to 4.75 points for the day! Sweet! Just imagine trading $1000 and making $475 today. With two announcements, that is about 30 minutes of your time.

For us, we are in the process of changing brokers so we aren't trading all of the announcements live right now. The new broker we are switching too has faster fill times which means less slippage. Slippage is the difference in price you choose to enter/exit the market and what the actual price is you get filled at. With high volume during announcements, slippage is going to happen no matter what (we just take it into consideration) but if we can limit the amount - the profit potential is much greater.

What causes slippage? The process the broker has in place to relay your pending orders for your computer to the CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) floor. The new broker we are switching too has the quickest route to the CME floor. We are hoping to be trading live with them next week. Until then, we trade with our paper account and occasionally we will use our current live account.

Today, we used the live account on the second announcement. We were going for 1.5 points profit and used a trailing stoploss. When our stoploss was as our break even price, the market came back to it and got us our of the market. We should have broken even but with slippage we actually lost .25 points.

So for the month of September, so far, we are down .50 points. We are leaving lots of profit on the table not trading all of these great announcements but there will always be announcements and we just have to be patient.

First Day of the Month

September 1 has brought us two announcements...

The pictures may be a little confusing, let us explain: On the first announcement we lost our trade. Our stoploss was set at 1.25 points to lose and that is all we lost.
Then on the second announcement, we did two trades. The first one hit our stoploss of 1 point because it was set too close (if we left it at 1.25 like the first trade, we may not have lost). We then got back in the market in the same direction because after seeing the news, we know that our entry was perfect. Then we made 2.0 points.
So when we put all of the numbers together, we lost 1.25 then lost 1.0 and then made 2.0 = -.25 points. For the start of the month, we are down a total of .25 points on our trading money.

We have two announcement times tomorrow as well, so until then...

Last Day of August

Today was the last day of the month, and we did not trade any of the announcements live.

6:42am announcement - This one didn't have much movement at the start and in learning from Friday, we listened to our gut and cancelled our pending orders. We are so glad we followed the rules. If we didn't, we have lost that trade.

7:00am announcement - we placed our pending order a hair too late and it was never filled. The market moved past our asking price very quickly. Therefore no profit (and no lose).

11:00am announcement - Since this one was a little later today, and a few of us (MMT Students) traded together at Panera Bread. That was fun! We traded the paper account because we use these trading pow-wows as learning experiences.

So for the month of August, we are up 3.75% or 37.5% on our trading money. It was a good month. Not the best but we are happy with our profits. Other students have been telling us how they did for the month and it is AMAZING! A few of the results are:

4.75 points SIM/LIVE

Low Impact on the Market

For today's announcement, we made .75 points on FAKE money. We used the simulation account for this one because we knew it wasn't going to move very much. The news wasn't expected to be any different than the consensus and that is exactly what happened.

Tomorrow's announcements are much more exciting. The first one, we will be trading LIVE and the second one, we will be meeting other students and we will all be trading together. It will be a lot of fun!

Post 1 of 2 - Follow the Rules

In order to be a good trader you have to have discipline. Part of being discipline is to have rules. One of the first rules before going into a trade is to 'Setup a Plan Before the Trade' is going to happen. Then, another rule to follow is 'Trust Your Gut'.

With that said, there were two announcements today. Before both announcements, we had a plan. For the first announcement, we were ready to execute the plan when the market started moving a little early. We trusted our gut and didn't get into the trade. There is a good possibility we would have lost the trade if we did place our order. On the second announcement, we had our plan and placed our pending orders. When the news came out, the market didn't react right away. Our gut said "cancel the orders". WE DIDN'T LISTEN. We broke the rule. Can you guess what happened? We lost the trade. So for the day we lost 1.25 points.

We are definitely upset with ourselves that we didn't follow the rules. Not following the rules was a risk we took and lost. It didn't payoff, we had to pay for it. For us, this is the hardest rule to follow. What if we would have won the trade even though our gut told us to get out? What if...? What if...? What if...? We can ask ourselves these questions all day long but the bottom line is a successful trader that makes a living off their trading money follows the rules. They trade with rules so emotions doesn't cloud their judgement.

In short, this has reiterated to us that we have to follow the rules!!! For the week we are still up 1.75 points or 17.5% on our trading money. We have two days left in August before doing the monthly numbers. Check back to help keep us accountable for following the rules on every trade.

Post 2 of 2 - Great Meeting Last Night

We had some good announcements today!!! During the two announcements, we made a total of 4 trades, winning 3 of them. We made 3 points or 30% on our trading money today.

So if you were trading $500, you would have made $150 this morning! $150 for a 20 minutes of your time (including turning your computer on). That is a good rate!

5:30 trade - textbook trade. This is why we felt comfortable making 3 trades on it. (the pic on the left) As you can see, we were completely done with the 3 trades in 4 minutes. Just because there are 3 trades doesn't mean we are watching the market any longer than usual.

7:00 trade - the news came in worse than expected and the market reacted for the first minute the way it was expected too and then rallied. We were happy with our profit during the first minute and stopped there. (For those of you who are wondering, these trades were made with SR)

We tried to get into this movement TWICE and we didn't get filled. We took it as a sign and stayed out. So we didn't make any money today. Oh, well. At least we didn't loss any money either :-)

Last Week

Well, this past Thursday, we had a weird trading day. There were two announcements. For the first announcement, we had technical difficulties and the second trade we won. Our broker, that we use to trade our money with, is helping us look into what happened during our first trade. To make a long story short, it is something that has never happened before and we need to find out why it happened. We ended losing 1.0 point and we should of actually ended up 1.0 point for the day.

So, as it stands, we ended down 1.8 points for the week. Not the greatest trading week for us but we also had fewer trades. Next week is the last week of August and there are some strong trading opportunities. We feel very confident and are excited to see how we end for the month.

Light Week of Trading

We did not trade yesterday but we did trade this morning. There were two announcements. We won the first one and lost the second one. So for the day, we are down .8 points or 8% on our trading money. We will not be trading tomorrow but we will be back on Thursday. It's a light week of trading and next week should be more exciting.

Since we ended with a loss last week and another one today, we have taken a look at our stats to determine why and what we can do to fix it. Unfortunately, it isn't anything we can "fix", it just happens. Don't forget we are still up for the month. We just want to make sure we hit our goal. We have mapped out all of the trades for the rest of the month. We will be taking a conservative approach. Which means if we win all the profit we are going for, we will make 8.5 points on our trading money. We know we may not win them all, but we know our max amount of profit and what our win/loss ratio needs to be to still make our monthly goal.

Last Day of the Week

Small profit today, but profit none the less. We made 5% on our trading money. For the week, we are at a loss of .75 points or 7.5% on our trading money. After the loss on Tuesday, we didn't make back all of it in profit. That is okay. If you remember - last week, we were up 45% so after this week we are still up 37.5%. Nice! Our monthly goal is to make 50% on our trading money. With 16 trading days left, we are in great shape!

This is why we believe that keeping stats and goals for trading are very important to the long term success of a trader. With a loss at the end of a week, a trader can get very discouraged because they are looking at the small picture. This little piece may be ugly, but what about the big picture? It just might be a master piece, like mosaic art. So for our small picture, we lost 7.5% this week. In the big picture, we are up 37.5% for the month of August and have an average profit of 89% a month for the past 7 months. That is a master piece.

Perfect Movement

Good start to a Thursday... Today's trade had a perfect movement. We traded 4 contracts and made 2.25 points or 22.5% on our trading money with one account and we traded 14 contracts on a second account but didn't get filled.

On the trading account shown above, we used our timed entry. This means the trading orders were set to enter the market at a specific time so we don't have to sit and watch it. The entry, exit, and profit made - all happened automatically. Most people would agree that this would be a great tool to have if you couldn't sit in front of your computer during a specific trade.

There is one more trading day this week, so until then...

We started the week of with a loss. It's happens.
We traded two parts of this announcement and lost a total of 2 points. What a bummer.

This is part of trading though. You will have losses. That is why, as traders, we cut our losses and move on. We never "wait to see if the market will turn around". Going into each trade, we predetermine how much we are willing to loss if the trade doesn't work out and we stick to it. PERIOD. Yes, sometimes the market will turn around into our favor (after hitting our stoploss) but do you really want to stick around to see if you will loss more money that you actually want to loss? That would be gambling not trading (calculated risk).

There is always tomorrow or the next day. The profit will come.

Finale for the Week

Here is the 2nd trade of the day. We lost 1 point or 10% on our trading money so this makes us even for the day.

For the Week, drum roll please.... we have a profit of 4.5 points or 45% on our trading money. What an amazing week, even with a loss! To put this in prospective, if you were trading $500 (minimum investment), you would have a profit of $225.00. Since the maximum investment is whatever you would like, the sky is the limit on your profits.

Some other student with Market Mover Trading have reported thier stats. The highest one we heard was a profit of 13.5 points or 135% on their trading money. Holly cow!!!

We made another point or 10% on our trading money this morning. Including set up, we spent10 minutes and 7 seconds trading today (and another 5 minutes record stats). Now it is time to go and help the American Cancer Society.
We love that our trading style is NOT time intensive. Our trading "day" is over before breakfast. We make our money early and then spend the whole day doing what we want. Nice!

We did a total of 3 trades this morning to equal the 2.5 points of profit. What a great morning! Every knows that making $1500 in 1 minute and 57 seconds pays better than most fulltime jobs.

First Trade of the Month

What a beautiful start to the month. We made 1 point or 10% on our trading money.
In looking at the chart above, each candlestick represents one minute of time. If the candlestick is red, then the market price ended at a lower price than where it started at the beginning of that minute. The green candlesticks are the opposite, the price ended at a higher price than where it started at the beginning of the minute. (if you look at the picture at the top of the blog, a candlestick is described in the chart)

The long red candlestick is the first minute of this morning's announcement. The news came in worse than expected and the market dropped. Our order was filled at 1116.00 (the price we entered the market) and our profit was made when the market dropped even further to 1115.00 (the price we exited the market).

We were in and out of the market in 7 seconds this morning. Everybody knows that making some extra money before breakfast would be very nice! This is what we do week in and week out. First day of August is here. I know it's actually the 2nd. In terms of trading, it's the first day of the month. We did not trade this morning announcement. There are trade opportunities everyday this week, so we have a good start to the month.

The End of the Month

I can't believe July is over already! For the month we are up 5.075 points or 50.75% on our trading money. (remember: 1 point = 10%) Our goal per month is to make 50% on our trading money. Another great month.

The picture below shows two trades from this morning. It was on our paper account so it is not included in our stats for the month.

We traded 4 contract (2000 fake dollars) and made .75 points on the first trade and .5 points on the second trade. As shown above, that is $250 dollars or 12.5% on our trading money. We have been playing with the MMT Tools that is provided by Market Mover Trading and we are loving it. We didn't even get up this morning for the announcements. We set them up last night, slept through the trades, and woke up to see (fake) profit.

We will be using the MMT tools on our live account next week for some of the announcements. We can't wait. See you in August...

Another Good Day

Sorry, we missed yesterday's posting. We traded our paper account, trying out an automatic tool that we have not used yet that is becoming popular among Market Mover Trading students.

Today, we had our paper account running the automatic trading style while we trade our live account. They both won! On our paper account, practicing the automatic approach, we pulled 1.5 points in profit. On the live account, we pulled 1 point or 10% profit on our trading money.

This trade had a textbook movement. It was beautiful. It bounced between the MMT prediction points as perfect as can be. These prediction points help us determine how much profit we should take along with deciding what price point to get into the market at. It takes out the guessing game that other traders have to play. I'm very thankful to have access to these prediction points.

Tomorrow, we have a few different trading opportunities. We will definitely be trading with the automatic tools that is available to MMT students on our paper account and we will decide in the morning if we will be trading our live account. We have hit our monthly goal and with only one trading day left (of the month) we don't necessarily want to risk losing any of our profits. We will see tomorrow and let you know what we decided. Is A Loss Really A Loss?

Let's role play. Say you have $1000 and this is the amount of money you've been trading for the entire month of July...
How would you feel if you lost $175 on your trade today? Not good, right!
How would you feel if, even though you lost $175 today, you are still up $402.50 for the month of July? Not so bad anymore, right!

This is the kind of day we had. The picture is a little confusing. Let me explain.
TECHNICAL RECAP: We were filled short at 1112.00 and then the market went against. Our stoploss was set at 2 points (since this is how much we are willing to loss on a trade if it goes against us) and that is where we got out of the market at 1114.00. Then a few seconds later, we were filled long at 1115.25 and made a profit of .25 points when we got out of the market at 1115.50.
EASY RECAP: We lost 2 points on our first trade and made .25 points on our second trade. Total for today is a loss of 1.75 points.

This doesn't sound very good, we know! BUT when we look back at the month we are still at a profit of 4.25 points. Yes, the loss today stings and we will learn from it but it is not the end of the world. After looking at the big picture, it's easy to take the emotions out of what happened today.

Left Money on the Table

Today was a great day for good profit!!!

The announcement came out and filled our order in one second. But after the first minute it wasn't getting to our profit. (In this case, one minute feels like a lifetime!) So we adjusted our profit and made .25 points or 2.5% on our trading money. Then, what do ya know? In the next minute, the market reached our actual asking profit. Oh well. We should have been more patient. At least we made a small profit though.

Weekly Update

No trade today.

We traded twice this week. Tuesday, we made .75 points on 7 contracts. Thursday, we made 1 point on 5 contracts. To figure out the % for the week, we take the profit that was made divided the average dollar amount that was traded. So for the week, we are up 1.7 points or 17% on our trading money.

Thursday Trade

This trade lasted less than a second for us and we made 10% on our trading money!

We only traded 5 contracts because we were having server issues this morning. The issues were on our end. We are not sure what the problem was. We lost connection 3 times so on the 4th time we decided we were going to trade less contracts. Everything worked out beautifully and no server issues during the trade. We did have our emergency phone numbers handy just in case.

Tuesday's Trade

On today's announcement, we were filled on half of our contracts and made .75 point or 7.5% on our trading money. It took just a few minutes and now we are off to day 3 of our real estate class.

The next day for trading is Thursday, so we will be back then.

End of the Week

We made another 1 point or 10% on our trading money with only half of the contracts that we normally trade. This time, only half of the contracts were filled. We tried to trade 14 contracts but only 7 of the contracts were filled and pulled a profit.

So for the week, we were trying to trade 14 contracts on every trade so when we figure out our % for the week, we will take our total profit and divide by the total dollar amount of 14 contracts (1 contract = $500). This gives us a total of .375 points profit or 3.75% on our trading money for the week.

We are at a profit of 38.75% for the month so far with two weeks to go. As traders, we set goals. One of our goals is to pull 50% profit from our trading money per month. So far, so good! Goals like this help us to put the losses into prospective. Remember, we had a loss two days ago but we are still up for the week and for the month.

LIVE TRADE TODAY

Today, there were two trades to trade but we only got into the market for one of them. We made 1 point or 10% on our trading money. We only traded half the number of contracts that we usually do because we had the live trade webinar today. The entry strategy we have been using the past few weeks would have been a little bit confusing. There is already a lot going on when it is someone's first time seeing a trade happen.

Three Seperate Trades Today

Having three trades in one days doesn't happen too often but we have a very busy week since there was a holiday this month. For us, it wasn't good but it wasn't horrible either. It was what it was.

Trade one: profit of .125 points
Trade two: lost of .75 points (two trades were made: one win of 1.5 and one loss of 2.25)
Trade three: no win or loss

For each trade, we went in with a plan. Our orders were executed on the first two announcements and then didn't get filled on the third announcement. Loss happens, it's a part of trading. This is why we trade with disciple so that we can mitigate our losses and have a higher win over loss ratio. There is always tomorrow. We just need to learn from today's loss and move on. So, until tomorrow...

First Full Week of July

Hey there. Sorry it's so late. It's the first time we've been back to our computer to give an update on everything. We were not able to trade this morning's announcement but other students had told us that they made 1 point profit. Pretty cool, nice job guys and gals!

July is off to a great start. We are up 3 points or 30% on our trading money this week. Total for the month, so far, is 35% and it is only the 9th.

We been very busy this week showing others more about what we do and it's been a blast. We met with a few different people around town and we held a 'live trade' webinar. People are really seeing the potential Market Mover Trading education can give them to make extra money. We would like to help as many people as we can to be successful too.

Of course, because we were teaching we were using a paper or simulation account; FUNNY MONEY! It's not good to be distracted while trading with real money. It's ok that it wasn't real. Another 1.5 points or 15% on our trading money!

The announcement came out better than expected and the market reacted accordingly. We were in position about 30 seconds before the news came out. The announcement came out at exactly 5:30am, the market shot up, filled our order, and made our profits. It's that simple. With the Market Mover Trading education under our belt, we knew exactly when, where, and how to take advantage of this movement. How would an extra $1050 in one minute (literally) change your life?

Good start to a light trading week.

As you know, we have been working with a different enter/exit strategy because we were not getting filled during some movements. Over the weekend, we analyzed the trades and different entry/exit strategies. This morning, we decided to split the contracts in half and stagger our entry .25 points apart (one tick). This worked beautifully!!! We made 1.5 points on 14 total contracts.

This is a light announcement week because of the holiday. There are no announcements tomorrow. There are 2 on Thursday, so until then...

Crazy Movement

What a crazy movement in the moment today! In hindsight, you can't see how crazy it really was. It shot up and down many times within 2 minutes. The market was very indecisive before it started going down and taking shape.

We choose to wait until it calmed down to get into the action. With our education, we've learn to look for a specific structure to the movement of the announcement. After the drop in price, it turned around for a correction. This is when we got into the market. We made .5 points or 5% on our trading money. It's a good start for the month of July.

Funny Money

For today's announcements, we made 1.5 points but it was on our simulation account. We are trying out a new charting system and didn't want to screw anything up. It's nice to know we would have made 15% on our trading money though. This percentage will not go towards our stats for the month since it was not real money. We will be using the live account tomorrow and that should have some really good movement. So for us, the month of July will start then :-) Until tomorrow...

Today is the last day of June. Wow that went fast!
Below is our trade from today. It's a little hard to decipher in the picture. We got into the market with all 12 of our contracts at 1039.50 in a short position and then we hit our profit targets of 1041.00 (6 contracts) and 1040.50 (6 contracts). Since half of the contracts made .5 points and the other half made 1 point, we need to average them out. The total amount made was $450.00. So if you divide that by the dollar amount of total contracts traded: 400/6000=.075 For this trade we made a profit of .75 points or 7.5% on our trading money.

For the month, we ended with a profit of 4.625 points or 46.25% on our trading money. Out of 31 announcement opportunities, we traded 14 announcements. We had 10wins, 2losses, 2breakeven. Our goal is to reach 50% each month on our trading money. We didn't quite get there this month but remember last month we surpassed it by a lot! This got us thinking: What is our overall average? Well, our overall average is 95.625% a month.

That is awesome!!! How excited! We are so glad that we were introduced to Market Mover Trading. We are very grateful for the skills they have taught us and the information they continue to share. We know we would have never have been able to make money like this in the stock market without them. If we tried it on our own, we would have spend way too much time and way too much money to do so. We are loving the great returns we are making with very the little time and very little money. Thanks MMT!

It's a Good Morning

Today's Trade: We are still using our new exit strategy and today we made .875 points or 8.75% on our trading money. As you can see in the first candle, the market dropped due to the information from the announcement. We use that info coupled with the prediction points from Market Mover Trading to execute our trade. It worked beautifully!!! Without the prediction points, we would not have been able to choose our entry price so perfectly. Thanks MMT

Good Morning! On today's announcement, we used the same exit strategy as Tuesday so we didn't make as much profit as we were hoping for. We did make .25 points or 2.5% on our trading money in one minute and ten seconds.

This exit strategy isn't new in the sense that we had never heard of it before, we just started implementing it into our trading this week. We've tried it out in the past but didn't see a need for it when we were trading less contracts. As we move up in contracts we want to make sure our profit potential is fulfilled. If we are trying to take a profit at one price point with all of our contracts, there is a chance they will not get filled (Of course there are many factors that play in). With this, we are splitting up the contracts and getting out at two different profit targets. We also protect our risk with a break even feature. For now the most important thing to know is we made a profit while significantly lessening the risk! Can't get much better than that.

For the week, we are up .75 points or 7.5% on our trading money. We made two trades and won both of them.
For the month, we are up 3 points or 30% on our trading money. We've made 12 trades with 8 wins; 2 losses; 2 breakevens. Next week, there are a few more days of June announcements before the final monthly tally.

The Computer Has a Mind of It's Own

The computer decided to do it's updates at the same time as the announcement today. Needless to say, we did not trade the announcement.

On days like this, we have to make sure we are following the rules. It's frustrating when we can't get into a trade due to an outside factor. No matter how bad we would like to trade and make money, we still need to follow the rules. Since we couldn't get into the trade, and it was the only opportunity today, then there is no trading today. Going outside the guidelines of Market Mover Trading Education would most likely result in a losing money.
It would be like a dentist trying to preform a kidney transplant. It's still a procedure a doctor would preform but a kidney transplant is outside of the dentist's specialty and the doctor would most likely mess it up.

Staying discipline and following the rules will make us successful traders for life. I think we will take the dog for a walk before it's too hot. Have a great day!

What A Perfect Announcement

What beautiful movement!!!! Just what we thought would happen. We had our order placed 10 seconds before the announcement. Had our profit set at 2 points. We were feeling good; confident. Announcement came out as we expected............ Sounds like a winning trade right?

Not this time: The market flew right through the order! The order was not filled. No profit made. There were not enough contracts at the price we wanted for our order to be filled.

Since this would have been a winning trade, the outcome is unfortunate. On the other hand, we would have been very happy not getting into a trade if it were the opposite and we would have lost money. Agreed? So we take what we get and move on.

There was also a trade this afternoon and we didn't get filled again. It was a text book movement. I guess today wasn't our day to make money. That can only mean one thing - tomorrow will be our day. Check back then to see the results!!!

Tuesday Trade

We made .5 points or 5% on today's announcement. We used a different exit strategy than usual. Since we continue to move up in the amount of contracts we trade we want to adjust our strategies. If we used the normal exit strategy we would have made more profit but with the new exit strategy, we have less downside risk. It's worth it to take less profit to have more protection if the trade went against us.

Happy Monday! Hope you had a fun-filled weekend. There was no trade today. However, we will trade everyday for the rest of the week. It looks like there are some great announcements coming out that will push the market.

On a different tic, many of the Market Mover Traders in Las Vegas met this past Saturday to share ideas and strategies. It never ceases to amaze me that MMT traders, who only a short time ago knew very little about the stock market now sound like pros and share great advice and insight. Focused effort on a small niche in the markets is what we learn. It makes trading much less intimidating. It was a great meeting thanks to all of you!

We decided to meet more often to discuss trades and even do a simulation trade together during an announcement. This is the kind of trading community we are excited to be a part of.

Close But No Cigar!!!

Dang it! On both trades our intent was perfect but didn't get in. It was a mix between second guessing and not being filled. We could of had both our asking profit if we gotten into the trades. It would have been a huge profit day.

We can't harp on what we COULD have made. We need to look at what happened and learn from it so next time we CAN make money. This type of thing happens and it's frustrating but it's time to move on. BIG PITURE - We are still up 7.5% on our trading money for the week and up 20% for the month. Cool. I'm feeling better already!

May Volume be with You...Tomorrow

There were three different trading opportunities this morning. During the first announcement, I didn't feel comfortable getting into the trade. The movement wasn't what I thought would happened and the volume was lower than I expected. I would rather stay out than try to chase profit.

My trading discipline is to stick to plan. If it doesn't happen, then wait until the next trade. Zach on the other hand, goes in with a plan but can change his plan as he watches the action. You have to decide which way works for you and follow it.

The second announcement (picture below), we were ready. We had the orders in but never got filled. The volume was even lower and there where not enough buyers to sell short. We would have pulled our asking profit, if only we got into the trade. Oh well.

The third announcement was Crude Oil. We have been watching this one to see what the trend is since the spill happened. I think next week we will actually try trading this one again.

We are back to normal on our contracts. Rollover is this week. That just means that now we are trading the September contract because the June contract has gone the way of winter. It has nothing to do with the seasons actually. I was just trying to be poetic.

This morning there was a 5:30 announcement. We made 7.5% on our risk capital in just over one minute. The guys at Market Mover Trading were forecasting it to be a medium impact. In other words, to not force the market much. They were right yet again. We had a loss today. Fortunately, we were trading a smaller number of contracts because the current future's contract is expiring and the volume is split between the new contract and the current contract. Click on futures to the right and read more about why this happens with the futures market.
So after today's loss, we are down 1 point or 10% on our money for the week. Losses happen. The game is to mitigate loss and have your wins out weigh the losses. If we look at the entire month so far, we are still up 1.5 points or 15% on our money.

Better Late Than Never

Today's trade was a little later than usual. There was an early announcement but I didn't trade that one. The one I did trade, was 11am my time. I made .75 points or 7.5% on my trading money. It took about 5 minutes to make this extra money. I think everyone should take advantage of an opportunity like this. There's a learning curve, like any new skill, but this one is short and the the possibilities are endless.

The curve is also easier to surmount when there is a community of like-minded individuals helping each other along the way. Chris from Utah was a great help to us when we were getting started so we now "pay it forward". We met with Daniel to do the 11am trade. He's been involved for about 10 days and is really coming along. His enthusiasm is contagious. It is easy also to predict that he will be a great Market Mover Trader soon. He asks GREAT questions and is very open to learn new things.

Trading in the Zone

Today's trade had better movement than I thought it would. This would have been a good announcement to trade and make some profit. I had already decided I was just going to watch this one so I didn't jump in. I stuck to my plan.
I am reading the book Trading In the Zone by Mark Douglas. He writes about the psychology of a trader. If you want to make profits consistently and for the long run, you need to be discipline. This book puts you in the right mindset to be a trader. Enjoy!

Until now, my fasted trade was 2 seconds (previous post), well look at this...

NOT EVEN ONE SECOND. I made 1 point or 10% on my trading money in less than a second. How amazing! I was so tired getting up this morning, I wasn't even sure I was going to trade this one. Well, I had everything set about 4 minutes before the trade. I thought to myself, ok I'll trade this. WOW!!! I'm so glad I did.

For the week, we are up 2.5 points or 25% on our trading money. We traded three different days, which means, total time spent was 90 minutes for the week. This includes setup and the actual trades.
At this rate, by the end of June, we could make 100% on our trading money for the month. I am beyond excited! I don't even know if there is a word for how happy trading as made me.

With profits like this on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, the stress I always have in the back of my mind about money is slipping away. Each time I trade, I usually compare it to the amount of money I would make in the 9-5 job and this is soooooo much better! Less time! Less hassle! More money!

Bright Futures Sucess Summit

Yesterday, Zach and I went to the Bright Futures Success Summit held by Market Mover Trading in Utah. It was phenomenal. We met a huge roomful of other traders with the same successes stories as ours. There were 3 great speakers there as well. I was very excited to meet one of the speakers - Greg S. Reid and his fiance. We sat at the same table for dinner before he spoke. What a down to earth couple even for all of the success they have. Greg has written many books including The Millionaire Mentor and Three Feet From Gold. His mantra is - in order to be successful, help everyone around you become successful.

That's only the half of it. We met many Independent Traders who we are sure we will foster a future relationship with. One of the speakers, Curtis Hall asked "How many people in the room never traded before using Market Mover Trading." Of the 100 and some odd people in attendance, almost all raised their hand. He then asked "How many of you have been having great success and making money?" This time every hand in the room went up. So he asked the most important question: "Why haven't you told every person you know about Market Mover Trading?"

Thank you to Sean Larsgard and Jason Anderson for putting on the event. They always do everything 1st class! This was no exception.

My first trade for June was...interesting. I got in long and then the market went the opposite way. This didn't make a whole lot of sense because the news was better than expected. The market came very close to me stop-loss and then turned around and flirted with my entry point a few times. I decided to get out of the trade at my entry so that I didn't lose any money besides the commissions to the broker. Well as soon as I got out of the trade, (chart on left), the market continued to go in my favor. Problem was, I wasn't in the trade anymore, dang it! Then a few minutes later, I took a quick .25 points using the MMT prediction points. So, I am up for the day!

This morning I made .75 points on the announcement. For the week, we are up 4.5 points or 45% on our trading money. Pretty cool.

So May is over, have you been keeping track? I have and I'm very excited. We traded 13 announcements this month and won 12 of them. We are up 97.5% on our trading money this month! Can you believe it. We almost broke 100%!!!

The announcements definitely came in worse than expected, thus the drop. We were able to use the MMT prediction points to precisely place our trade order and made 1.5 or 15% on our trading money this morning. Worked like a charm! Thanks MMT for creating and providing the prediction points.

Yesterday, another MMT student and I drove up to St. George for a Market Mover Trading training. Sitting down and learning from others that participate in this type of trading was great. We had a fun time and were able to hone in our skills even more. Thanks for inviting us.

Another Good Morning

Zach did an awesome job on his trade today. After watching the first minute candle (doji candle) of the announcement and then the push up, he said that he could tell that when the market reached the prediction point, the price would bounce off. Sure enough - it did! He made 1 point.

So if that paragraph didn't make a whole lot of sense - that's ok...it will! All you need to know is he made money using the knowledge he learned from Market Mover Trading. Once you learn it, that paragraph will be normal vocabulary to you too. Cool huh?

Then I made .25 points on the later announcement. The amount of money you see to the right, is the cumulative amount of the day. Works for us.

Our total time spent in the two trades today was 1 minute and 2 seconds. Preparation for these trades total 15 minutes. Where else can you make 12.5% return in 16 minutes and 2 seconds?

Well, Good morning and Happy Monday! What a nice way to start the week. Today's announcement wasn't very early, so I go to sleep in a little and then make money in 5 seconds. No really, I made 1 point or 10% on my trading money in 5 seconds. How exciting is that?!?!?!

There were two announcements for trading today. The picture to the left is the early trade. It's had great movement and we were able to pull .75 points or 7.5% on our trading money.

The picture on the right is the second trade. Even though I didn't get into the trade, I had to share this one. The movement was perfect, and I was positioned perfectly to make my asking profit of 1.5 points. The blue line was my where I wanted to enter the market. I was one tic away from getting filled and making my profit. The movement was too fast for me to adjust my position so I didn't get in.

Today was the last trading day of the week and we are up 5% on our trading money for this week. For the month we are up 52% on our trading money so far. One more week in May to go. Can you believe it? Have a wonderful Friday and great weekend.

We made 1 point today on the early announcement. There wasn't a whole lot of movement but using the prediction points, profit was made!

For the later announcement today, I met one of our other Las Vegas students and we traded together. WOW there was some big movement on that one. Mainly after the announcement window but it was exciting to watch. I traded that announcement two different ways. I lost the first way and won the second way. Turned out to be a wash for me. For my fellow student, he made 1.5 points on this announcement. Amazing!

I also received an email from a different student who kicked butt today on her trades! She made 1.75 points and 1point on her trades respectively. That is 27.5% on her trading money in one day.
It's awesome to see other students as excited about Market Mover Trading as I am. Great job to all those who have taken that step to learn how to trade the futures market with Market Mover Trading. It's so exciting, huh?!?!?!?!?!

This morning, we had movement! Unfortunately for us, the market moved opposite of where we needed it to go. We were in short an the market continued to go up. We lost 1.25 points on our trading money.

Losses happen. We haven't had a losing trade in about 4 weeks. We had 11 winning trades before this 1 losing trade. When you learn how to mitigate your losses so that your wins exceed the losses, a trade like this is ok. It happens and is easy to handle.

Today's announcements didn't moved very much BUT for the day's over all movement has has had a large movement. The total movement today is out of the realm of Market Mover Trading strategies so I have not tried trading it. Also, I do not have time to sit in front of my computer ALL day. There are three more days filled with announcements this week so I can't wait to see what kind of movement they will have.

This morning was another quarter point of profit or 2.5% on the trading money. As you can see that brings us to a total of 5% on our trading money for the week. We only traded two announcements this week out of the six opportunities. 5% on our trading money doesn't sound like much BUT lets put it in perspective...

How much would the money be earning in a savings account? How about in mutual funds? I went to a seminar this last week on how to make 12% a year or 1% a month on your money. The man giving the presentation continually harped on 'your doing great if you can make 12% a year'.

I'm am definitely happy with 5% a week, which brings us to a total of 45% profit on our money for the month (we still have two more full trading weeks this month) and have only spent about 20 minutes of time for the trades so far this month. So if 12% a year is great then 5% in one week would be considered... what??? Amazing? Incredible? Fantastic? You choose!

Small Profit

A quick quarter point is still worth getting up for. There wasn't very much movement to the announcement today. BUT using MMT prediction points, a small profit was still achieved. These prediction points are extremely accurate. They help us determine what the market will do at specific price points during each announcement time. Only MMT student have access to the prediction points and I am very grateful. With them, decisions on how to trade an announcement are way easier to figure out. They are a huge part of my success!

Today was the first chance this week to trade but we had a low impact announcement and there wasn't much movement. I didn't get into the trade. It happens. Just because I didn't make money this morning doesn't mean I'm going to sit in front of my computer all day looking for profit. There are four more opportunities this week.

I don't know how regular day traders do it. They sit in front of their computer all day analysing charts and figuring out when the perfect time might be to get in or out of the market. And did I mention they do this all day?!?!? How stressful! That is why I love Market Mover Trading (among other things). Our trades are shorter and at specific times. Win, Lose, or Draw I am on with the rest of my day. And as you scroll through this blog you can see that the wins out weigh the rest.

And last - SHOUT OUT - Just wanted to say congratulations to Sonja for becoming our newest Las Vegas MMT student. I'm very excited that you have chosen to learn this new skill and give yourself the potential to make some extra money. :-)

That's What I'm Talkin' About

So I can't take credit for this one BUT Zach did an awesome job reading the market today. As the announcement came out he watch how the movement was bouncing off the prediction points and used that to his advantage. He made 2 points or 20% on our trading money today! He was in and out of the market in 19 seconds. I was right there during the whole thing and he made the profit before I even realized what happened. I love that!

Today we had two beautiful announcements that made up for yesterday's lack of movement. Yesterday I didn't get into a trade, but today was much better. For the early announcement, Zach made 1.25 points or 12.5% on our trading money. Zach said he will be interested in seeing what Sean and Jason have to say about this one in their trade recap because before the announcement came out the market rallied!

The second trade, I met another Market Mover Trading student at a Starbucks to trade together. Bonnie is a new student and she is understanding the strategies very well. On today's trade, she made .75 points. Even though I didn't personally trade this one, I was very happy to get together with Bonnie to make sure she is on the right track for success. A Good Start to a New Month

This morning there were two announcements. I didn't get up for the earlier one - my mom is in town and we were out on the strip late last night. Couldn't quite bring myself to get up too early today. BUT I was awake for the second announcement time and made 1 point or 10% on my trading money. I like the freedom of the type of trading I'm doing. I get to pick and choose when I trade and I don't have to sit in front of the computer all day everyday.

What a nice day this is starting out to be - made some money, the weather is beautiful, and now I get to go spend the day as a tourist!

The End of April

Today was uneventful for me. I did not get into any trades. This week I only traded two announcements out of the seven possible trades. Even with only trading twice this week, I am up 10% on my trading money.

Can you believe today is April 30th. Another month for 2010 is past. WOW! They go so fast. For the entire month of April, I am up 44% on my trading money. I think that is a good month, how about you?

This mornings trade didn't move too much. I only pulled .25 points or 2.5% on my trading money. It's not a whole lot but making any amount of money before I eat breakfast works for me.
Without the education from MMT, I wouldn't have known how to make any money so quickly in the market. This is why I started this blog - to show you real results. There are a lot of MMT traders out there with the same outcome of success! I am really glad I was introduced to Market Mover Trading. I hope someday I can help you learn how to do this too. Today's Trade

Today, the long awaited FOMC rate change announcement came out and.........no change. YET! There was some movement in the market for this announcement though. I was able to make 0.75 points or 7.5% on my trading money. I was originally asking for 1.5 points of profit but I adjusted it to coincide with the Market Mover Trading Prediction Points to secure some profit and not be greedy. That sounds good to me. When the FEDs decide to actually change the rate, we will see way more profit potential on this one trade. Until tomorrow, have a great day!

There are no trades today. The rest of the week is packed with fun! There will be 7 possible trading times with lots of volatility, which means potential for more profit. I like trades like that. I plan on trading all the announcements this week. We will see how it goes. Check back tomorrow for my first trade of the week!

A Two Second Trade - Seriously!

I am in a very good mood this morning! I'm not sure if it's because it's Friday or because I made 1.25% profit in just 2seconds! Two seconds. Wow! That is a new record for me. I don't know of any other way to make this kind of money in two seconds. The picture shows the time report for you as well as the chart. You can see, I got into my trade at 9:00:00 (or 7:00:00 Vegas time) and was out of my trade at 9:00:02 (7:00:02 Vegas time). So Cool :-)

Market Mover Trading has taught me how to take advantage of the futures market in short periods of time, just like this morning. I have the freedom to choose which announcements I want to trade and when I want to sleep in. Without the education, I would not know how to make money this. They have given me the tools and confidence needed to trade my money in the futures market. I believe MMT can give you the knowledge and confidence as well - if you let it.

The Woes of Trading

So there were two announcements today. The first one, I didn't get into the trade so nothing was won or lost. Good thing! The second one, I lost :-( Bad thing!
It happens though. I got into the trade and then the market went the other way. Luckily I had my stop-loss set. I lost the amount I was willing to loss if the trade didn't go in my favor. Even though I have lost for the day, I will not be trying to "get my money back" by watching the market all day. I am done trading until the next announcement. Win or loss, you have to be a discipline trader to continue to see profits for the long haul. I will be thinking good thoughts for tomorrow's announcements. Until then...

Here is the picture of the crude oil announcement this morning. I didn't plan on trading it and I didn't. I did watch it though. It's a good thing I didn't put my money into this one. I think I would have lost the trade. Thursday and Friday have a bunch of announcements to trade. I can't wait! Talk to you tomorrow.

It's Monday

Good morning. My trading this morning reflects that it is a Monday. For some reason, Mondays are the hardest day to wake up for. Monday is usually the day "something comes up" or "if it could go wrong, it does".

On today's trade, I ended up losing .75 points on my trading money. Reason being, I hit a button by accident and I pulled myself out of the trade. At that moment, I was down 3/4 of a point. If I didn't hit that button, I would have made my asking point of 1 point or 10% of my trading money 3 minutes later.

I haven't done something like this in a looooonnnnnng time. I will definitely learn from my mistake! Maybe I was becoming careless. This will remind me to check everything and be more careful. Ok, so you might be asking - Why didn't' you get back in to try and make your money back? My answer is - Because that is not how we learn to trade at Market Mover Trading. We have a very specific trading style. We trade the economic announcements. There are different ways you can trade an announcement, but trying to recoup a loss is not one of them. If you have a loss on the announcement, then you have a loss. I am a discipline trader. I will take my loss and start fresh on the next announcement. The winning trades out weight the losing trades, so it's easier to deal with a loss when it happens.

Since it is a light week of announcements, I will not be trading again until Thursday. There is a trade before that but I will not be trading it with my live (real money) acct.

What a Great Week

I am extremely happy with this week winning 4 out of 4 trades! Up 2 points or 20% on our trading money. This week we spend just under one hour trading. I love that you can have great returns and NOT spend a lot of time.
We chose to trade 4 announcement times out of the 12 recommended announcement on the MMT forecast calendar this week. Since there were quit a few to choose from, I wanted to spent some announcements with other Market Mover Trading students. Other students in Las Vegas are also having good progress. I am hoping next week to share some of their success with you as well.

As you can see, there was no money won or lost today. There was movement and I'm sure other Market Mover Traders made some good profits. I just didn't get into the trade.

10% Return in One Day!

This morning we made a total of 1 point or 10% of our trading money. Zach had a great trade this morning. Unemployment numbers came in higher than expected. This is not good good for the economy, but great profit potential in the futures market. When unemployment goes up the market reacts negatively. Just look at the drop in the picture! The red candlestick indicates the market dropping. We always use a one minute chart, so each candlestick represents a one minute time period. Using the MMT prediction points, Zach was able to pull $300. I pulled .25 points or 2.5% on the trading money on a later trade.
For those who don't know, Zach is my other half. We are both students of Market Mover Trading. Sometimes we work together on trades and other times we work separately. Today was a separate day. Zach traded the first announcement of the day and I traded the last announcement.

This morning there were a few announcements. I was only in a trade for one of them. The first one, I was never filled, which is ok. Since I wasn't filled, I didn't make money but I didn't lose money either. The second one, I made .5 points or 5% of my money. That seems to be my trend this week. Hey, 200 bucks is 200 bucks. I'll take it any time. Especially when it only took me two minutes before I ate my pop tarts this morning to make the money.

A Few Hundred Dollars Before Breakfast

There were two trades this morning. The first one didn't move very much so I didn't get into a trade. The second one, I made .5 points or 5% of my money. Not bad. I was in the trade for just over a minute. I am now done trading for the day and ready to move on with what I have planned. Grabbing an extra few hundred dollars before I eat breakfast is a great way for me to start my day. Tomorrow will be a fun morning for trading! I can't wait. I will back then to show you how I did.

Had the morning off from trading. There are 12 possible trade times this week in the next 4 days. I still haven't decided if I will trade all of them but I will definitely be trading most of them. Tomorrow is forecast to have low volatility but I still may check it out.

What a great event! Thank you Sean and Jason for taking time out of your busy schedules to come down to Vegas. We have a trading class for students and an introduction seminar for those who are interested in learning more about Market Mover Trading.
